WP.org Theme Directory: Dzonia Lite

The Website built using Dzonia Theme is supereasy to build and is very simplistic in design, the visitors love to see the whole content clearly. Cloriato Theme got several theme options to allow changing and manipulating literally everything in the site. Still the site is very easy to built.

Reblogged via WP.org Theme Directory

ThemeShaper: Getting Started With the _s Theme

There are some simple instructions in the theme readme.txt on how to get started with our new starter theme, _s, but, to be honest, I’m not exactly the most reliable readme reader myself so here are those instructions with a bit more explanation.
The first thing you want to do is copy the _s directory and change the name to something else. Like, say, megatherium.
Then you’ll need to do a three-step find and replace with your favorite text editor on the _s name in all the ...

Reblogged via ThemeShaper

If you’re reading this there’s a good chance you’re a WordPress theme aficionado, a true connoisseur. I’d like to know: how does a devourer of WordPress themes, like you, fulfill your massive appetite for awesome new themes?
For my cravings, I generally partake in the following (most common at the top):

I find out by word of mouth, from my colleagues at work.
Via Twitter, from the theme designers and theme shops I follow closely.
By way of the Extend free themes ...

Reblogged via ThemeShaper

ThemeShaper: The Weekly Theme Show on WPCandy

The Weekly Theme Show is a new podcast from WPCandy that should be required listening for all WordPress theme designers and developers. Both because it involves WordPress themes and, more importantly, because it’s not from developers for developers, like most of the other podcast offerings out there in the WordPress community. It’s like a breath of fresh air.
This show will discuss WordPress themes, weekly, from a user’s perspective (and not a developer’s).
It’s exciting ...

Reblogged via ThemeShaper

My coworkers at Automattic and I frequently discuss the speed with which we’re able to onboard new themes into the WordPress.com theme directory.
Our top priority as the Theme Team is to make sure that all of our users feel like they have a theme that fits them perfectly; in order to meet that goal we’re focused on bringing a variety of themes into WordPress.com through a few primary channels: the WordPress.org theme directory; premium theme shops; and Automattic (in-house) ...

Reblogged via ThemeShaper

Our very own Lance Willett recently discussed premium themes on WordPress.com with Ryan Imel of WPCandy. This interview comes one year after premium themes launched on WordPress.com. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can give it a listen on WPCandy.
As a bonus, WPCandy posted a second recording called “Aftertaste” that starts after the formal interview concluded. In “Aftertaste”, Lance and Ryan discuss the pronunciation of names, upcoming WordCamps, and how to ...

Reblogged via ThemeShaper
